How to make a makeup brush holder for Storing your makeup brushes in a brush roll is not very convenient for every day use and storing them with your makeup can damage them overtime. But the pretty brush holders I often see for sale are usually overpriced (-30) and you can easily make your own using things you can probably find around your house or purchase at a store for just a few bucks. Here’s how you can make your own brush holder and decorate it according to your taste! 1.) Find an appropriately sized holder in the shape that you love (heart, star, round, there are so many!). Make sure it’s glass instead of plastic, as this will put more weight unto the holder and prevent it from toppling over. If you have many brushes, you can buy a bigger sized holder or have 2 (one for eye brushes and one for face brushes). I purchased my holder from a dollar store for just in the candle isle! 2.) That is true, and a great organic, natural, affordable alternative especially if you already have it lying around your house. I know i’ve said it before but i’ll say it again anyway 
You can do more with good brushes and bad makeup than you can with good makeup and bad brushes. Brushes are the one thing i really think money should be spent on. Looking after them and cleaning them well will make them last a very very long time and so the investment is a good one. I adore makeup brushes and the ones i’ve listed here are some of my favourites. Pick the ones that are right for your eye shape and size. There is not point in getting a HUGE brush if you have tiny little eyes! Both Rae Morris and Louise Young offer smaller crease brushes – which is rare as most as way to big for standard eyes. The MAC 226 (while changed slightly) is also an excellent brush to get if you can get hold of it. There is a little rumour that if they all sell out here in the UK then MAC will make them a permanent fixture! Wooohoooo! MUFE do great makeup brushes and the pencil brushes are lovely. OCC, Cozzette and Rae Morris make the most lovely brushes made from synthetic hair and are amazing. Think of them as an investment. Wayne PS I will be reviewing the Rae Morris brushes at a later date as the ones shown here at prototypes – but amazing prototypes! I cannot say enough good things about them – the blush and highlighting/contouring brushes are the best i’ve seen!
